Thanks to the “Vacation for All” project, 45 deaf girls and boys from the Pedagogical Institute for Language Problems (IPPLIAP) experienced a magical weekend in a camp organized by Colonias de Vacaciones (Vacation Camps). This gathering was also possible thanks to the support of Royal Holiday volunteers, who even attended weekly sessions for a month to be able to learn Mexican Sign Language, which allowed them to communicate better with the kids, thus creating a meaningful bond.

During the camp, both volunteers and entertainers of Colonias de Vacaciones designed special activities that made everyone laugh and have lots of fun. In an atmosphere of vibrant energy, the children formed teams and made up cheer songs, they also danced, and designed their own flag, which encouraged creativity and teamwork. And to test their skills, an exciting rally was organized where the little ones tried to obtain a medal.

The moments lived during the camp did not only impact the children, but also the participating volunteers. The dedication and affection shown and felt in this camp got translated into laughter, learning, inclusion and a sense of belonging for all. We will continue working in order to create positive experiences that leave are live to stay there for good!
