Behind every service vocation lies a history of hard work. For this reason, Royal Holiday Foundation, through the Vacations for All project, decided to recognize 35 students who completed the Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Marillac Foundation with an unforgettable holiday experience: A three-day, two-night camp at YMCA Camohmila in Tepoztlán, Morelos.

“The camp is very nice. Everything is recreational and leads you to create new friendships and very nice experiences.” – Viridiana, beneficiary of Marillac Foundation

During this experience, young people not only had fun, they also strengthened key skills such as leadership, perseverance, teamwork and confidence, all essential tools for both personal and professional development. They participated in group activities such as low ropes, volleyball matches in the pool, bonfires with marshmallows and even a disco night.

“It is the first time I have such an experience and actually it was very good. I highly recommend this camp.” – Luis, beneficiary of Marillac Foundation

One of the most significant moments was the activity called “Life Line”, a deep reflection in which, blindfolded, they walked a symbolic path full of obstacles. That rope represented everything they have overcome to get here. At the end of the journey, a sky full of stars reminded them that, despite the difficulties, there is always light if you keep moving forward.

“It was a very beautiful experience, I was able to free myself from everything that afflicts me. I strengthened my ties with my peers.” – Pamela, beneficiary of Marillac Foundation

With this holiday experience, Royal Holiday Foundation recognizes their academic effort and celebrates their vocation to care and heal, because those who care for the future also deserve to be cared for today.
