Sowing hope, nourishing ties
Vacations for All project recently provided an inspiring experience for 92 children and their families from underserved communities in Mexico City. The group enjoyed a stay at the Camohmila YMCA Camp in Tepoztlán, Morelos, where they connected with nature and strengthened their family bonds.
The camp fostered an environment where children could develop values, create lasting memories, and discover new joys. From taking their first dip in the pool with their families to enjoying a bonfire filled with laughter, songs, and marshmallows, each activity resonated deeply with the children. The highlight of the trip was a “disco” night where children and parents alike danced and connected, creating a truly magical experience.
Comedor Santa Maria’s mission extends beyond providing nourishment for the body; it seeks to nourish hearts and instill hope for a better future in every child. Let’s continue to make a positive impact on the lives of children!
