Vacations for All project recently provided an inspiring experience for 92 children and their families from underserved communities in Mexico City. The group enjoyed a stay at the Camohmila YMCA Camp in Tepoztlán, Morelos, where they connected with nature and strengthened their family bonds.

“I learned to enjoy my children more, to understand myself better, and that I can overcome the obstacles that life throws my way”.

The camp fostered an environment where children could develop values, create lasting memories, and discover new joys. From taking their first dip in the pool with their families to enjoying a bonfire filled with laughter, songs, and marshmallows, each activity resonated deeply with the children. The highlight of the trip was a “disco” night where children and parents alike danced and connected, creating a truly magical experience.

“Thank you for this opportunity. We wouldn’t have the resources to come to a place like this on our own. Thanks to everyone who joined us in the games and activities”.

Comedor Santa Maria’s mission extends beyond providing nourishment for the body; it seeks to nourish hearts and instill hope for a better future in every child. Let’s continue to make a positive impact on the lives of children!
