Thanks to the Royal Holiday Foundation, 24 FLAG scholars and alumni (Lorena Alejandra Gallardo Foundation), accompanied by 4 Royal Holiday volunteers, participated in an expedition to the Filobobos River, in Veracruz, with the Outward Bound Mexico program. For four days, the young people lived an experience full of challenges, nature and teamwork.

Throughout the expedition, the participants carried out various activities that tested their confidence and skills. One of the most exciting experiences was rafting, in which they worked together to ride the river rapids and enjoy breathtaking views, such as the waterfall “El Encanto”, a true spectacle of nature. In addition, they took a long walk through the jungle, where they not only appreciated the beauty of the environment, but also strengthened their bonds of companionship. The nights were filled with laughter and moments of reflection around the campfire, where they had the opportunity to get to know each other in depth. And to culminate the adventure, they enjoyed an exciting zip line activity, which allowed them to challenge themselves and feel free like never before.

This program has a clear purpose – help young people strengthen their self-confidence, improve their social skills, face their fears and reflect on their goals and expectations for the future. At the end of this adventure, they not only returned with indelible memories, but also with a renewed vision of their abilities and potential.
