Growing among laughters and fun
The Royal Holiday Foundation, in its second collaboration this year with the community dining program ‘Comer y Crecer’ (Eat and Grow), succeeded in providing 92 kids and young adults, along with their mothers and grandmothers from the community of San Mateo in Cuajimalpa, with an unforgettable experience in Tepoztlán, Morelos.
The camp took place at the YMCA-Camohmila facilities, in an ideal environment for direct contact with nature. The young explorers participated in various outdoor activities designed to strengthen their confidence, encourage teamwork, and develop psychomotor skills.
In this way, mothers and children had the opportunity to face their fears, such as climbing a 6.5 feet wall or immersing themselves in the pool, where some learned to swim for the first time. On the last night, they enjoyed a bonfire, where they sang songs, told stories, and made s’mores, creating memories that will undoubtedly last forever.
This camp was a great opportunity for these children to overcome their fears, connect with nature, and build lasting bonds with their peers, mothers, and grandmothers.
