Feeding Body and Soul
86 beneficiaries of the Comedores Santa María, including children, moms and dads, enjoyed days of games and fun at the facilities of the Camohmila YMCA Camp in Tepoztlán, Morelos.
The Santa María Dining Room is a Civil Association dedicated to helping the most vulnerable boys and girls in marginalized urban areas to cover their primary need: food.
During the camp, the beneficiaries carried out several activities. One of the most memorable activities was when they swam since, for many of these little ones, it was their first time swimming, and they did it together with their families, which added an extra level of joy and bonding. Another special moment was the campfire, where they gathered to sing, dance and roast marshmallows. These activities strengthened bonds between parents and children, creating memories that will last over time.
This experience not only offered fun to the beneficiaries, but also strengthened the community around this important partnership.
