Part of the Royal Holiday Foundation’s efforts is to promote the right of children, young people and adolescents to rest, play and leisure through cultural, artistic and sporting activities within the trips we carry out thanks to the Vacations for All project

On this occasion, and for the first time in collaboration with Casa Alianza I.A.P, an association whose mission is to contribute to the protection and care of children and adolescents in situations of social abandonment, we traveled to YMCA’s Camohmila camp in Tepoztlán, Morelos, with 31 of the young beneficiaries and their counselors.

Within this camp, they carried out physical, manual, and skill activities such as: climbing the wall, crossing obstacles “chest-to-ground”, commando course, among others. In addition, they were able to develop their creativity in the Batik workshop where, using colors, they created an original design t-shirt. One night, they enjoyed the campfire where they reflected on how much they learned and enjoyed the camp.

To close the experience, they climbed the “Enano” hill to see the sunrise. The route took them 40 minutes of hiking. This activity symbolized the obstacles of everyday life and left them with the reflection that camaraderie and teamwork are essential to achieve a goal and a common good.
