A group of women members of the Fundación Cáncer de Mama A.C. (FUCAM) were enjoying a well-deserved vacation when Hurricane Otis hit the coast of Acapulco and their joyful experience had to be interrupted. Nevertheless, thanks to the efforts of Fundación Royal Holiday through its program Movimiento Vacaciones para Todos (Vacations for All Movement), 34 beneficiaries were able to reinstate their vacation experience in Huatulco.

During their stay, the participants were part of several activities – morning meditation sessions that allowed them to reflect and connect deeply with themselves. They also conducted a holistic group activity to strengthen their minds and spirits. They enjoyed a facial massage session in pairs, and they learned how to perform and apply this technique to their partners. They were part of a guided tour to a nearby mangrove swamp, practiced aqua aerobics, and were part of a closing dinner at Frida restaurant, followed by a spectacular Oaxacan show.

This trip was not only an opportunity to relax and enjoy, but also to share experiences and build bonds as survivors, reinforcing the importance of mutual support and community strength.
