This time, 41 female breast cancer survivors from FUCAM were able to enjoy a stay at Park Royal Beach Acapulco thanks to the Vacations for All project.

During the first two days of the experience, the patients had different therapeutic activities designed to help with their medical treatments. However, Mexico witnessed the fury of Hurricane Otis, which caused significant damage on the coasts of Acapulco during the early morning of October 25th, leaving thousands of tourists without communication, including the FUCAM patients who were staying at Park Royal Beach Acapulco. Thankfully, the hotel staff and the patients were okay and didn’t report any injuries.

Thanks to Royal Holiday Foundation’s efforts, the staff who were working at the resort, and the help we received from ETN, the 41 FUCAM patients and 5 people from their staff were able to return safely to Mexico City in 2 buses that the transport line kindly provided.

Acapulco will need the support of all Mexicans for its recovery after the hurricane; however, we are sure that with solidarity, in a short time, we will be able to continue creating positive experiences that leave their mark.
