Thanks to the efforts of the Royal Holiday Foundation, we were able to take, 120 beneficiaries of APAC with cerebral palsy to experience an incredible vacation in the Riviera Maya for the first time, accompanied by a volunteer.

One of the primary goals of the APAC program is to promote independence and social inclusion for people with disabilities, enabling them to enjoy a better quality of life and engage in recreational activities just like anyone else. During their trip, they had the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful beaches of the Riviera Maya and an incredible catamaran journey that took them to Isla Mujeres.

They visited parks like Croco Cun Zoo and Xcaret, where they engaged in different activities such as swimming, exploring the aviary, and taking a stroll along the Maya route. However, the visit wouldn’t have been complete without going to the Cancun Aquarium where they observed rays, jellyfish, starfish, and colorful fish. Most importantly, they had the chance to socialize with each other, strengthening their friendships and simultaneously fostering their independence despite their condition.

These are the types of experiences that we like to create with the Royal Holiday Foundation, and we will keep working to create memorable experiences that leave a mark on these brilliant people’s lives.
