Refuge among the mountains

Where nature embraces and the air inspires, 26 children and young people from the Internado Infantil Guadalupano experienced days full of joy, adventure and discovery thanks to the Vacations for All project. The mission of the boarding school is to provide them not only with a home, but also with tools to develop their potential and build a better future.

The YMCA-Camohmila camp in Tepoztlán became the temporary home of these young people: a space where every game, every laugh, as well as every campfire strengthened the bond and trust between them.

That’s how, with dips in the pool and nights under the stars, they learned that teamwork and communication are as important as dreaming and believing in yourself.

Because sometimes, all an adolescent needs to keep going in the face of adversity and marginalization is a break, an embrace of nature, and the certainty that they are not alone.
