On a morning charged with raw emotion, the FUCAM auditorium became the stage for a new beginning. With great excitement, 25 breast cancer survivors learned that they would be taking a transformative vacation on the beaches of Acapulco.

The event was honored by the presence of María Luisa Guisa Ortega, Director General of Administration and Finance, and Dr. Jorge Enrique Monjes, Medical Coordinator, both of whom shared words of encouragement and highlighted the importance of this benefit. For Royal Holiday Foundation, this alliance with FUCAM represents our commitment to offering moments of rest that support holistic recovery and the emotional well-being of those navigating such challenging health journeys.

The most moving moment came when the beneficiaries took the floor. As they received their formal invitations to travel to Acapulco, the joy was shared by all — but it was their individual stories that truly touched everyone in the room. Many shared what this “breath of fresh air” means in their lives: a much-needed pause, a reward for their strength, and a chance to build happy memories far from hospitals and treatments.

For these courageous women, the trip to Acapulco is a recognition of their daily fight. Their words reminded us all that recreation is medicine for the soul — capable of renewing strength and restoring smiles.

We’ll see you soon by the sea, celebrating the lives of these incredible survivors!
