BEACH, WAVES, AND LOTS OF FUN
Flying above the clouds for the first time and seeing the ocean for the first time are experiences that can change a child’s life. But for a child born in prison or one who has survived violence, these moments become a source of healing and a powerful step toward recovery.
Recently, we welcomed 9 children, their moms, and members of the Reinserta team to Park Royal Beach Acapulco for an unforgettable beach getaway.
The adventure began with great excitement thanks to Viva Aerobus, which made it possible for these
children and their mothers to board an airplane for the very first time.
When they arrived at the hotel, the team greeted them with a special welcome and paid attention to every detail to make them feel valued from the moment they arrived. Every gift they received—from goggles and flip-flops to sunscreen—helped make them feel special, cared for, and appreciated.
The experiences throughout the trip reminded us that what seems ordinary to many people can feel extraordinary to others. One little girl cried with excitement when she entered her room and discovered a large bed and a television. Another child found a peaceful space alongside her mom—a chance to pause, breathe, and remember that despite their challenges, they deserve moments of joy.
To provide a safe and private environment, the hotel temporarily closed certain restaurants ande reserved specific pool areas exclusively for the group, ensuring exceptional service throughout their stay. We are especially grateful to General Manager Israel Aragón and the entire hotel team for their support and generosity.
The program included unforgettable activities designed especially for the children:
- Master Chef Activity: The children became chefs for a day, decorating treats and exploring different textures and flavors. One child proudly shared that his cake represented “the happiness I was feeling right then.”
- Celebration Party: The hotel hosted a private party filled with laughter and excitement. The children enjoyed table soccer, Connect Four, giant Jenga, dancing, and a mini soccer game. The highlight was a Family Feud-style competition that encouraged teamwork and guaranteed prizes for everyone.
- Beach Soccer Match: A fun-filled game on the beach where each child proudly wore a personalized jersey with their name on it.
- Bonfire Under the Stars: The perfect setting to share stories, strengthen family connections, and celebrate the memories created throughout the trip.
