AN UNFORGETTABLE FAREWELL!

At Royal Holiday Foundation, we had the honor of accompanying 36 students and 5 teachers from Christel House on a heartfelt graduation camp experience that celebrated the bond they built over the years.

This group proved to be an exceptionally close graduating class. They enjoyed activities such as swimming, leadership exercises, and team-building challenges designed to strengthen collaboration and friendship. Yet the most memorable moments came when they took time to reflect on their journey together.

The defining moment of the camp was the opening of a time capsule. Each graduate received a letter and a special keepsake they had left for themselves years earlier when they first entered Christel House as children. Looking back at their childhood dreams while reflecting on the young adults they have become encouraged students to share not only their hopes for the future but also the fears and uncertainties they face as they prepare for life after graduation.

“It was an amazing experience that I will always remember with great affection. I had so much fun and was able to tell my friend things I had never had the courage to say before. I am grateful for this opportunity because it helped me become more understanding, empathetic, and confident in both my classmates and myself.” Ana Lima

The experience reached its emotional high point around a campfire. During a special activity, students had the opportunity to look each other in the eye and express feelings they had always carried but had never found the courage to say aloud.

Words of encouragement, gratitude, and promises of lifelong friendship led to a group embrace shared by the entire graduating class. Tears and laughter filled the moment, creating a farewell they will remember for the rest of their lives.

“It was a wonderful experience where everyone connected and stayed close. It was a
beautiful way to welcome and say goodbye to this stage of our lives. Everything was fantastic.”
María Fernanda Salazar

For Royal Holiday Foundation, supporting these young people as they take their next steps is not only a recognition of their academic achievements, but also a reminder that they will always carry with them the values, leadership, and sense of community they developed throughout their school years.

Congratulations, Class of 2026, and best of luck in everything ahead!

“This camp was so much fun. It helped me enjoy my last moments with my graduating class since we graduate in just 15 days. I will always keep this experience in my heart, and I am very thankful for this opportunity.” Brayan Bernal
